UW Women and Men take the 2021 Windermere Cup!
The Windermere Cup started in 1987 and has become a NW tradition.
On Opening Day of Boating Season each year, the teams final stretch is through the Montlake Cut.
The UW’s long history with crew racing is most famous for the “Boys in the Boat” era when the men bested the German team in the 1936 Olympics.
This year’s racing was virtual, see link below, but had all the intensity and drama of the best races.
