NO Single Family zoning-Vancouver, BC – Neighborhood Series

This is another post in my Neighborhood Series. 

Single Family Zoning eliminated in Vancouver, BC.

The Vancouver city council just did what Seattle proposed a few years ago; eliminating single family zoning.

I know we have a housing shortage, especially for affordable housing but this still seems like an extreme step that can change the look, feel and livability of our neighborhoods.

So many Seattleites love this city because of our strong neighborhood feel throughout the city.

Higher density housing possibilities in all neighborhoods will permanently change our city.

I hope our city council considers this idea greatly before following in Vancouver’s footsteps.
