Tableau map – Median Home Value + Mortgage

My friends at Tableau have created an easy to navigate map by county showing the Median Home Value and the associated Mortgage payment.

They go one step further and give you the Mortgage payment at a 3.5%, 4.2% and 5.0% rate.

We all know the 3.5% ship has sailed but this is a good comparison for your neighborhood and what you can afford if Mortgage interest rates do indeed go up to 5.0%

And, if you’re willing to move, which counties in the US are more affordable, i.e. lower Median Home Value.
